Our new Danum Valley Field Centre (DVFC) package is designed especially for naturalists and solo travellers who prefer to be as close to nature as possible. Equipped with basic-living amenities, DVFC which is often used as a research centre, makes an ideal accommodation for budget traveller with easy access to exploring one of Borneo’s greatest treasure- Danum Valley. Not forgetting our expert guides, who are sure to make your trip extra special with their knowledge-sharing and warm-outgoing personality!

DAY 1 LAHAD DATU – DANUM VALLEY CONSERVATION AREA – DANUM VALLEY FIELD CENTRE
Pick up at Lahad Datu Airport and transfer to Danum Valley Conservation Area (DVCA) via 4WD or coach. Arrival and registration at DVCA Reception & Information Building, followed by a tour of the Exhibition Gallery. After lunch, take a walk along the 500m self-guided nature trail and get to know the rainforest, marvel at its beauty and experience the pristine ambience of the rainforest as has been for hundreds of years. After dinner, proceed enjoy the night drive to observe nocturnal wildlife OR video show on Danum Valley (If weather permits). Overnight at Danum Valley Field Centre, Danum Valley.

DAY 2 DANUM VALLEY FIELD CENTRE
Rise in the morning for an early walk to enjoy the company of nature. After breakfast, trek through the ancient rainforest of Danum Valley and marvel at its rich flora and fauna. After dinner, proceed to Night Walk in search of Borneo’s nocturnal animals. Overnight at Danum Valley Field Centre, Danum Valley.

DAY 3 LAHAD DATU - KOTA KINABALU
Leave for Bukit Atur and be one of the first to greet the first ray of the sun as it touches the valley. Return to DVFC. After breakfast, depart for a 1½ hours journey back to Lahad Datu Town/Airport.
